We stayed on the Avoca River in May for 10 nights and found it to be a great place to base yourself to survey the area. Plenty of wineries, op shops and the town itself is very friendly and found the locals made you feel welcome. There is a laundromat and IGA in town with plenty of options for good coffee and food (The Olive & Lavender Store all food made in house) 👍
