The camp site was large and very pleasant. Grass had been slashed which made moving around the site safe easy. There was however nothing at all on offer - no firewood for sale, no sites with long drops, no proper fireplace (just a circle of rocks), no UHF option (handy to be able to contact the homestead if there is an emergency), no walking tracks and no 4WD track. And the map showing the camp sites was very rudimentary! The Eureka Creek, while pleasant to look at, is a watering hole for cattle and certainly not suitable for paddling. The welcome from our host was underwhelming - she seemed more interested in taking our money than being a true host. At $25 per night Boonmoo is not good value for money.

Lovely peaceful spot with excellent options for bike riding.

Question:

Hello we’re looking for a campsite with our labrador and wondering whether there’s safe water to swim in here? Our dates would be a week in late September if you have availability? Thank you

Answer:

Hi Helen I have only visited here so not sure about availability. Try the website perhaps? The water would be ok for swimming (no crocs!) by Sandy T.
