A great little stop-off (or longer stay if you enjoy rural activities like kayaking and bike-riding around the dam). We stayed over night on our way down South (during December). The dam nearest the campground was empty, but if you walk down the road over the cattlegrid there is another dam. Dogs are allowed. Several other campers had dogs as well. Recommend taking insect repellent (mozzie are bad during the night).
Great place to camp good clean toilets always plenty of paper. Lovely grassed area and plenty of space
Not bad Http://www.instagram.com/p.pdf
Closed 17 July 2020 onwards (until further notice)
Lovely spot with clean amenities. A lot of space so feels very private. Make sure you have repellent with you. Would stay again.
