Lovely area. Good for an overnighter. River a bit strong to swim but some shallow areas to cool off. 2 other cars there over Christmas.

Stopped here for one night last night (April 18). It’s about 30 mins off the highway if you’re heading north to south but it’s a really pretty drive in. Super sweet, quiet little creek bend (river bend?). We saw two sites - the one in the space under the bridge where the two water bodies intersect is nice and big and could handle a group camp or a big van. The spot we stayed in, a little further down the water was smaller and quieter but would be a tight turnaround for a big van. We had no trouble with our camper van. It was a bit of a bummer when we discovered some sharps and a bit of rubbish in the area but we took the rubbish we could carry and left the sharps undisturbed out of the way (we don’t have a sharps container with us and we have a bub on board so didn’t want to have them anywhere near her). Water is about ankle deep but I don’t think I’d be drinking it :) my BF wet a line but we weren’t expecting much. Cute spot, we’d stay again!
