Campsites

We arrived on Labor Day afternoon as everyone who'd been there for the long weekend had left. Ian, the very hospitable owner (who also put on the stargazing tours in the on-site Observatory) told us to help ourselves to sites as we were the only ones there. Great level sites with fabulous views of the nearby mountain and old copper smelter, good drop toilets, bush showers, camp kitchen and every site has a fire pit. We stayed 4 nights and loved every minute, as did our 2 six month old Labs. Every night a spectacular sunset and during the day we drove the 30km to Walsh River (very scenic drive, just watch out for road trains) for swimming and had the place to ourselves. Apparently busier on weekends. Highly recommended.
