There's heaps of camp spots along the mighty Murray river. I'm camped at Christie's Beach 10min drive from Echuca. It's nothing flash just your basic find a spot and hope you don't get noisy neighbors. The good, it's on the Murray, has plenty of spots, has a drop toilet, it's free and you can stay as long as you like, it has mobile reception, has plenty of dead wood for a fire. The bad, no drinking water, bring your own. I'm sure there are nicer spots along the Murray. This is my first camp spot of hopefully many along the river. I probably won't stay at Christie's Beach again, hoping to find somewhere nicer next.
