A real gem. This laid back rustic camp ground on the banks of the Upper Karuah river has heaps of well spaced camping spots on a grassed level area under massive shade trees. Bass fishing in this private 2km stretch of the river can be rewarding provided you have a canoe/kayak. Owners, an elderly couple are lovely genuine country folk. Clean toilets, hot showers, and some tank water when the weather has been kind are just up the hill in the homestead. I have never seen more than half a dozen other campers there so you will never feel crowded. Ideal for that short no frills get away in picture perfect surrounds.
