We spent a week camping here in January. We were lucky enough to have most days overcast, as soon as the sun came out the heat was pretty oppressive (even in the mid 20s) so an awning is a must. It’s pretty protected from the wind and there’s plenty of space to set up. Lots of birds around and some kangaroo’s in the morning. Mind the ants, my partner got bitten once during our stay and it was super painful for her - we treated the bite with a pressure bandage and antihistamines. There’s heaps of ants around but they will leave you alone for the most part. Lake is a fair walk away but was pretty dead and not really worth much of a visit. Roads in are easy. No amenities, bring a shovel.
