Back to nature! Fern flats was a great stop for our road trip. Although a very steep hill to get to, it’s worth it for the tranquility and beauty. No drinking water, and only one tap for all campers. There is a unisex toilet a short distance away from the campsite (1min walk). Wake up early to see some platypus if you’re lucky! Bay 6,7 & 8 are for tents only - the rest are suitable for vans and campers. If you book plot number 4 you’ll be next to the tap. Really nice nature reserve and walk around the river. Unfortunately the lady at the reception was not the least bit helpful about the camping and lacked in any knowledge or friendliness. Fortunately the ranger who visited in the morning was very friendly.
