It’s a rustic gem, beautiful landscape and the stream is just perfect for lounging about or a swim in deeper sections. The ground doesn’t have too many perfectly flat spots but mostly suitable for vans or tents. You can have fires and wood and ice sold on site by Ian the owner. Lots of powered sites but bring an extension for your power and water hoses, they are plentiful but spread out. The water is the highlight, swimming is done by everyone of any she, there is a gorgeous walk into the adjoining conservation area where every corner you turn is more beautiful than the next. Leading to a shaded waterway with gentle rapids you see in movies. The facilities are rugged though, showers are $1 for 4 minutes and pretty basic. My 9 year old wouldn’t sit on the toilets, they could use a sweep on the floor, walls and ceiling. It looks like the owners are slloooowwly putting a new amenities block together (which would be great). You won’t be disappointed, we are planning to go back with friends already.
