Good tidy little National park campground. Very clean longdrop toilets, solar shower, gas cookers and sinks in the kitchen area. Very well maintained. Sealed road access, right on the beach and plenty to see/ do with a short drive.
This is a great campground in a stunning location. I stayed in one of the non-vehicle spots, and your tucked away tent spot is connected to the carpark and only a few footsteps away. The campground was super tidy and clean, and the toilets despite being no-flush are also very clean. If you get in early enough, the shower is also warm! A short walk from the campground and you’re at a beautiful beach, and if you continue walking further away from the campground (either along the beach or the road) you get a fantastic view of Mt Barren (which you can get great photos of at sunrise!) I also recommend going up to the lookout spot as you can see the Culham Inlet over the sandbar of Four Mile Beach, along with some beautiful endemic plants I’ve never seen before. I stayed while it was pretty cold and windy as a little storm was coming through and it still didn’t take away from my stay. The local plants and animals were the cherry on top, as despite the weather I’ve was lucky enough to visit during wildflower season! Definitely keep your eyes peeled for the wallabies and royal hakea!
Fabulous National Park campground, with hot showers! Short walk through to beautiful beaches. Lovely drive to visit other lookouts and beaches. Great hike up East Mt Barren for spectacular views east and west. Loved our stay here.
