If you are in the North Burnett region, do yourself (and them) a favour and visit Gayndah Heritage Railway. Camping $5 pp per night. Water $2 Tour of the old Sunlander at 8.30am (donation). Des was the station master back in the day and has a lot of history as well as great plans which includes social events for schools and communities. 6 km drive to Mt Debatable (or newer start point of Dirnbir) - the beginning of the rail trail (you need to be bike fit for this one )
