We went for a trip here in February 2021 with a group of mates (about 12 of us) from high school we are now 21 for context. Our group camps a lot and this was the best free site we have been too. The camping grounds were right next to the river which was absolutely stunning. There is one long drop toilet which isn’t the cleanest but you get what your given when your not spending money. Beggers can’t be choosers. The road there is very windy and very steep and not for the faint hearted. The path getting into the camping grounds is very steep and rocky, my Volkswagen Tiguan struggled a bit to get up with 4 twenty year old boys in it. But the campsite makes it all worth it! It’s pretty close to Omeo with about a 30 to 40 minute drive
