Ideal location, walking distance from the beach Time of year visited -Feb 2023 (summer -peak) This time there was an issue with red algae in the sea but nothing was advised from local authorities or EPA that it was unsafe to swim. $ Paid campsite no power site $50 Safety -very busy caravan park in peak season. No issues Location -close to the road to see native wildlife, the beach is across the road and Lorne is a short drive to get supplies. The campsite location is A10 which was closer to the road side. Camp kitchen opposite and toilet black and showers opposite. Normally not a spot I’d choose due to noise -but nothing some ear plugs can’t fix. It was a loud spot but also windy night a louder crashing waves that night. Facilities -all types of sites available, expect to line up to have a shower during busy peak season. Camp kitchens had fridges and bbq facilities which we saw people using Overall the spot was busy and great for tourists but was a bit too busy and loud for my liking but what you should expect on great ocean road in summer. The one thing that was so remarkable was the location of the koala that we spotted a few minutes walk from camp. So incredible! Especially when we drove to spot some and only saw one for an hours drive searching! -note to search at a dusk -went at 10am
