I absolutely love this campground! Dogs are permitted on-leash and it’s a picturesque area to set up camp in. I’ve been twice, neither time was particularly busy but it was during the cooler ‘off-peak’ months. I’ve ridden the MTB trails into Forrest and also walked the Lake Elizabeth loop. Not all camp spots have a fireplace, and some are quite close together, so do your research to find a spot that suits either group bookings or something a bit more private. You can also see which spots have been booked if you’d rather set up camp away from other visitors. I particularly like that vehicles are separate to the camping area (there’s a designated parking area at the top), it keeps everything simple and you really feel like you’re ‘getting back to nature’!
