I made a detour in the magic forest before I got to the site on the 1st if Jan. The campsite was absolutely full but a small stopping carpark before w had some empty space, so I stayed there in the night. Also, this might be good info: if the campsite is packed there is still plenty of small places before the actual campsite where a spontaneous camping community was formed for that night when I was there
