Our family love Lostock Dam Caravan Park! It’s a beautiful green campground with surrounding hills and a fresh water ‘river/creek’ running through it. We have been a couple of times and the creek is great for swimming and tubing. The camp sites are quite flat with both powered and unpowered sites available. The unpowered sites are closer to the water. The water on tap is fresh dam water but marked as ‘not for drinking’, we use it for washing up and happy to make tea and coffee after boiling it. Fires are allowed at each site which is great. Wood is available to buy on site at $20 per wheelbarrow load. Showers and toilets are basic but always clean, there are also washing machines and dryers (bring your $1 coins). There is a shop at the office with lollies and drinks for the kids with some other basic supplies, some floaties, some ice creams, bread (sometimes). Mark and Merri are FANTASTIC hosts, nothing is ever a problem and are very accommodating. Awesome people! No mobile reception at the caravan park but is available a short 5-10min walk up the hill. No tv reception unless you have satellite dish, but there is a ‘tv room’ with a couple of couch’s if you need to catch ‘Farmer wants a wife’ while on holidays! The last 20 mins of road to get there is a bit rough and narrow, but still sealed (lots of repairs done to the surface makes it bumpy). Cannot recommend this place enough, it’s rustic and charming but has everything you need to feel at home.
