We camped here in mid December. Once the wind picks up, the flies disappear and the place becomes a relaxing getaway. Quiet and remote, this site is on the edge of a lake which stretches almost as far as the eye can see. It’s a great place to fish and enjoy the coolness from the water. I personally wouldn’t swim here due to the murkiness. It became quite a cramped site by 7pm. It does not permit longer than 48 hour stays. Bring fly spray... you’ll need it. But if the wind picks up it can be quite strong. At least the flies won’t bother you if you’re being swept away. Toilets 2/5 - they flush, but are poorly maintained. Pee was dribbling out the door when we were here. Caravans ✅ Tents ✅ (very rocky soil) Toilets ✅ Fires ❌ (only if you want a fine) Fishing ✅ “Other than the flies and the toilets, I like it” - my friend Hannah.
