Stayed in Oct 22. Lovely setting & oval used for local sport. Beautiful new toilet block. The entrance was untidy, the grounds were unkempt & the sites poorly maintained. $20 for a powered site. Has a caretaker on-site.

Not so much a campground as a BYO caravan park. Facilities were locked, unlit and unsignposted. Couldn’t find any toilets for the kids at night which is no fun. Camp site was on a slope.

Stunning place to stay if your self contained and need peace and views. July school holidays and plenty of spaces everywhere. Great bike trails, open fires and check out at any time of day , no rush . There are powered sites , but best book those as it’s the holidays . Rolly is an extremely helpful caretaker. A great alternative to unpowered sites in Melrose which is packed at this time of year. Would highly recommend.
