The Riverside Tourist park is in a lovely spot, right by the river yet only a few minutes walk to the centre of Mudgee. The facilities are basic, with some upgrades needed to compete with other camping grounds. The kids playground is very basic and there is not much else to keep the kids entertained. I would recommend kids bring their bikes as there is a relatively safe bike track running behind the park and next to the river. I say relatively as our kids did see a brown snake and there are signs warning of snakes being about. The facilities were dated but the showers were hot and running well. A lot of the sites have a concrete slab which means you have to face im a certain direction, this made it difficult as we were camping with family and we were all facing away from each other. Overall highly recommend. We loved our stay here.
