Campsites

We were only meant to stay one night and ended up staying 3 after the managers were kind enough to squeeze us in. Murchison is a working station and only open for part of the year. Cold at night, warm in the day. It’s the perfect base for exploring Kalbarri National Park. If you are self contained you can venture off and find your own spot by the river. Otherwise the campsite is also great. We kayaked with the kids in the river during the day and sat around the fire at night. You can buy firewood on the grounds. The toilets / showers are a bit of a trek depending on where you are camping, but didn’t bother me. Next time I’d love to try the off grid free range camping when we are better equipped.
