A great place to stay, hopefully it will still be there the next time we are in Omeo because Sandy, Lou and Pirra Beltrame who run the Omeo Caravan Park and were recently notified in a formal email from East Gippsland Shire Council that they needed to be out of the caravan park by 31 March, 2021. This gives them nine months to remove all improvements, that they have made to the park and surrounds, and themselves from the lifestyle they have enjoyed for the last 12 years. This will incur a huge financial burden which, after the financial losses incurred because of bushfires, road closures and Covid 19, will be devastating. These people are the heart and soul of this caravan park and are all heavily involved in the community. We have been friends with Sandi, Lou and Pirra for the last seven years and have had first-hand experience of their incredible generosity, compassion, and good will. Please sign this petition to show your support for Lou, Sandi and Pirra. East Gippsland Shire Council needs to understand how valuable these people are to the greater Omeo region and to find a sustainable solution to this situation.
