Campsites

What you would expect from a site that offers pit toilets and is unpowered. some plots are good areas for your vehicle and tent or in my case, car camping. some plots are a bit smaller, but there is a small parking area for those people with the smaller plots. pay attention to the images when booking your site so you can see if it’s car suited. there are little posts beside each plot saying what number it is. mine was 10 which was a sweet little rectangular car park(again, car camping) offering space enough for my VE and room for small table, chairs etc without being out on the road. seeing the other sites, nearly all of them are under tree cover which was nice. perfect for keeping the chill off and everything was nice and shady. the view from the site is epic, though you can’t see too much from the very top. you need to go down the stairs that remind me of LOTR: Two Towers when golum leads frodo and sam in to mordor. take a break on them. down the bottom there is the parker inlet which was nice. the ocean coming in leading in to a calm although quite dark stream, i expect from the mountain dirt mixing with the water. people seemed to be fishing it but didn’t look super promising with my eyes. there was a way to get on to the rocks on the far right as the tide was quite low so got great views and pictures of the water erosion on the rock faces. be wary of the tide though so you don’t get stuck but you don’t have far to go. There is also another walking path other than the inlet, which is a few kms and goes i believe to another campsite. i didn’t walk this but heard from someone else is a neat little trek. sedans mind the road in, you may scrape slightly the undercarriage if you follow the wheel marks in some areas as the middle rise is quite high.
