This is by far one of the best free camping sites I’ve been to in a long time. It’s pretty flat. It has a small slope but nothing crazy which makes it great for camping with rooftop tents and swags. There is a toilet here. It’s a long drop. Bring your own poo tickets. The fishing here is fun. I’ve caught only carp and Redfin, however, in saying that, I’ve had a ball catching them. They love the worms, so bring heaps. The water is amazing. Since the floods, Eildon is fuller than a fat ladies sock, so swimming is great, with the bottom being clay hard. It’s not too deep which makes it great for kids and on the hot day if you want to wade. There’s heaps of shade too. Make sure you take your own rubbish out with you; there’s no bins, so leave how you found it.
