Pull over for a snack and a rest by all means but keep driving .The positives . It was free. The views from the bank are truly lovely looking across the river . On the opposite bank are red cliffs and when the setting sun hits them they are amazing . Has places where people have lit camp fires and you will definitely need to buy wood , there is a sign with a phone number that says campers can buy wood and gas bottle refills . There is no one else here . The challenges . Visited in July school holidays . It has rained most of the holidays and this site only has grass around the edge so all the flat sections are just a quagmire . Glad we had a four wheel drive . The fringe of grass by the river is about wide enough for two cars to pass and extremely uneven . The road is a meter away and although there are not many cars you hear everyone including their duff duff music . Would not recommend if you where in a tent . No phone , internet or tv reception on vodaphone suspect you need Telstra If you just wanted to pull over for the night it is barely fine but I would drive on.
