This an old Drovers overnight stop. We camped in the far left corner, which was just lovely. 8-10m above the Macquarrie River. There is a path with steps cut into the dirt down to the river with a lovely beach. We parked our caravan under a big gum tree & had a campfire. Our Kelpie & 2 cats really enjoyed the area & the tranquillity. Lots of birdlife & could hear fish in the river. The paddock was newly mowed, but there were a few bindis. Stayed 2 nights instead of the planned one night. Definitely visit again.
