I camped on the riverside with my two sons during winter. The park has lovely hosts, always helpful. Value for money is pretty good, was $120 for two nights (Fri/Sat). The river running through the property is great, lots of areas to explore and swim, sit paddle with the family ,it was too cold for me in August though. It’s a big place he feels like there is lots of space for everyone, lots of well maintained lawns. It seems lots of people bring their dogs, I think we were the only ones who didn’t have dogs. There a kiosk that opens during the day with hot food and coffee, snacks and drinks for the kids. Not bad, though the line for coffee in the morning is pretty long and it can take up to 30 mins to get your coffee (that’s during winter non-peak). Good little spot though. The main reception building is huge with a restaurant (didn’t eat there) and a big hall with air hockey and table tennis. There is also 2 pool tables inside a with a fireplace and a bar that opens around 5pm. Not a bad selection of beers and wines, they also make a couple of cocktails. This area wasn’t too busy when I went. Bathroom facilities were great, nice and clean, showers were good. There’s only 3 toilets which is fine for winter non-peak but it must get busy during summer as there’s only one bathroom for the campers on the whole property. We were also a long way from them so you don’t want to leave a run to the toilet too late! We took the mountain walk which was a nice trek with the boys, took 2 hours all up and covered some beautiful areas of the property. Some steeper rocky bits but manageable by most people. Most camp sites were really level and all were clean and tidy, the place seems to be well maintained everywhere. The non powered sites can have fires on them which is good. The size of the sites is good, they do seem to vary in length quote a lot though (width is same). The longer ones are closer to the amenities but do have a sloped entry point, so I guess that’s the trade off. All in all a great spot, I’ve been meaning to go there for a while and glad I made it.

Visited with our small dog and 4-person tent. Allocated a perfect spot by the river. Plenty of other campers with dogs which made for a fun and low-hassle experience. Fires permitted, wood available for purchase. Bathroom block is clean and in great condition. Entire campsite is clean and seems to be visited by like-minded, peaceful people.
