This was an absolutely stunning campsite. No power, no water, no TV, no mobile reception. The perfect way to escape and just enjoy the simple things in life. Great fishing, lots of shells for the kids to sift through (but not take). Go for a walk after dark with a torch and spot the sting rays and shovel nose rays on the reef, as well as various other fish darting around. The ONLY downfall to this area was the wind. It was relentless and can really ruin your ability to really enjoy yourself. We’d recommend a 4WD and off road van as the track in is quite rough. We used this as the perfect place to base ourselves for the trip up to Steep Point.
