Warroora Station

8 Ratings

We now have a unique station campground nestled under the gum tree’s and only located 1500 metres from the beach. Get a taste of the Ningaloo reef and life on a working cattle station or do a 4WD tour and discover 57 km’s of pristine coastline from Amherst coast all the way to Coral Bay. We offer two different campgrounds. The first one offers unpowered campsites with a friendly outback atmosphere. Our campsites are suitable for tents, campervans or big rigs with the option for the use of generators if you so desire. The second campground has the use of a large camp kitchen, shower and toilet amenities (fridge, freezer, gas stove/oven, gas BBQ, tables, chairs and a fire pit area) The camp grounds are spacious with lots of wild life running around, including kangaroo’s, goanna’s, emus as well as cattle . The bird life is also prolific with bush turkeys, whistling kites, nankeen kestrels, falcons and plenty of corellas and finches. Budgerigars are known to show up after rain. Stay as long as you want to experience the authentic sole of the outback. Reconnect with the land, the wilderness and your family or friends. We are pet friendly. Pets do need to be well behaved and kept on a leash and cleaned up after.

Fabulous place with very good facilities at the station campsite. (There are other campsites closer to the beach but no facilities). Only unpowered sites but rather nicely situated, not in each other’s armpits. You can buy wood at the office and have fires at campsites. Great beaches north and south of the camp. We came in on a 2wd and the entrance road is very long and corrugated/bumpy - we also managed to get to the first beaches north and south. 4wd are required for further beach exploration north and south. Nicest showers I saw on the west coast.

Fabulous station! You can’t book the beach camping here anymore as you have to go through National Parks. The Homestead is a fab place to stay, chilled, has amenities, washing machine and a water tank... Read more

Question:

Is it accessible with 2WD campervan ?

Answer:

Hi Veronica, The Homestead is accessible with 2WD but 4WD vehicle is required to discover the coastline. However we might suggest to camp on the Ridge at 14Mile which is accessible with 2WD via north entry. We invite you to book campsites via DBCA online campground booking system; https://parks.dpaw.wa.gov.au/site/warroora-coast. CHEMICAL TOILET can be HIRED at 14Mile. Safe travels. by Marty and Muriel HORAK
