This campsite is spacious, attractive and has great facilities such as toilets, fireplaces and picnic tables. It’s definitely one of the most beautiful places I’ve stayed. BUT, the swarms of feral bees make it almost unbearable. The bees are attracted to water and bright colours. Although not very aggressive, they swarm in very large numbers around your campsite and make cooking and washing-up a very challenging task. We had to eat in our tent and wait until after sunset when the bees had gone to wash the dishes. When I came in contact with any bees after dark, wearing my head torch, they were very aggressive and charged at my face. On a hot day, one made its way up my shirt for moisture and stung me unawares. Fortunately, I am not allergic but the sting was quite painful and helped by taking antihistamines. Despite the beauty of this place, I’m never coming back to camp. Maybe, just for a walk.
