The site is on the way up towards meander falls and accessible with a 2wd (drive slow as there are many big pot holes and sometimes hard to see with the light shining through the trees. PROS- The first site as you drive in has views of the running meander river. Absolutely breathtaking. Fresh water and very peaceful CONS- If busy, you could Potentially share this area with a few other vans or tents. Other CONS- March flies and bees were all over us. Normally it’s the mozzies!! As we went to sleep in our swag, we had these ultra small bugs looking like fleas falling through the tiny holes of the swag. If you have a camper van you will be fine. No phone reception for Telstra or Optus The fishing for us was a fail. There is a lake nearby (Hunstman lake). This is beautiful and apparently has good size trout. The local town has a small cafe and has great coffee and breakfast. A short 13 min drive by car into Deloraine. Overall. It was a wonderful, peaceful weekend with gorgeous views of the countryside. I highly recommend it. Plus it’s free!!!
