Lovely place. Free camping site to the left of the hotel if you're facing it head on. It is a field that is mown. Gravel area too. Large tin fence that provides some privacy and sound reduction. Flushing toilets for guests to use. The pub just asks that you support it in what way you can when you stay. They only do lunch and dinner some days. Nice food. There's no trees in the camping area so bring some shade.
The couple that runs the motel are fantastically kind! They give you access to everything at the motel and are completely there to make sure you feel comfortable and have everything you need. The camp area is behind the pub (a very quiet pub) and there’s a huge metal wall between the highway and the camp area which serves as a great sound block. I would definitely recommend staying here if you’re passing through and need a place to stay 👍🏼
