Great spot to camp for free with no booking! The listing on here says it's closed for Covid but that's out of date. I arrived at about 4pm on Thursday last week (not during school holidays) and got the 3rd last spot- and about 10 cars drove in and drove back out afterwards because they didn't get a spot. I highly recommend arriving early- there is one disabled spot which I believe was not taken so if you have a disabled pass you may be able to get a spot at any time. The road there is very windy and has no lights, as well as has traffic lights all along it for single lanes as there is some sort of road work going on, so I recommend not driving it at night or being very careful around the bends at the very least. As for the toilets, it's just drop toilets so it isn't the most pleasant. There was single ply toilet paper and soap when I went, but the tap for the water was broken so there was no running water at all. I saw reviews saying you can swim there, but when I went (at the start of December) there wasn't enough water in the creek to swim in. The Optus network reception was alright - about one bar, good enough to message my friends on facebook messenger, but not on text at all. Overall very decent camping spot, it was quiet and peaceful at night, very beautiful area and the people there were very friendly. Really good location as well, just out of the beautiful Blackheath town.
