We went for a day trip. The road in is uneven gravel/ dirt about 15 kms. The last bit onto the gorge is very uneven and the furthest part is very rough and easy to get bogged in. There were 6 vans of smaller size by the river. Swam but water is cold and very very deep. Supervise children. On the way into gorge is a sign pointing you to the glacier smoothed rocks. Theses are 5.5 Billion years old. They are black and feel cool compared to others considering the hot environment. High light of my visit, only seen these before in Norway.......
