Our type of travellers prefer to have a campfire by the stars and take in the natural beauty of the area. Kids and families often find it great because they can run around and not have to worry about anyone camped within 50-100m. Just $ 30 bit much for just a paddock. esp for solo travellers. I can see bird and wildlife anywhere as have been doing. Be honest just came through L.R and feel it's a tourist trap. All good for a once off family holiday but if on a budget I'd skip it! Also not even peak period hate to think what prices are then? by Cheryl G.

I’m terrible sorry you missed out on the Amazing Lightning Ridge Region. The sheer number of people from all demographics, that return again and again, really demonstrates that Lightning ridge is not a tourist trap. I’m sorry you left your research of our top town to the last minute. It really is the best of what small towns can achieve when they have a genuine love.
