We spent 2 days at the Resort Caravan park then two days here. Meet by a menagerie of animals, including geese, alpacas, goats and chickens. The owner Jacinda meet us at the house gate. We were free to choose our unpowered 'paddock' site with plenty of choices from sandy and mown sites. Great drop toilets, camp fire with tables and wood supplied, also water top up available. A great stay but I thought $30 was a bit steep for an unpowered I could be out of touch with current prices. I would recommend Carinya and would come back with our grandkids who would get a lot more from the stay than us.

Seems set up for groups or family) not solo travellers? Any discount for 1 person?
Thanks for your question Cheryl. It really depends on the experience you’re after. We get many solo travellers that are photographers, birdwatchers or who simply want peace and serenity. Our type of travellers prefer to have a campfire by the stars and take in the natural beauty of the area. Kids and families often find it great because they can run around and not have to worry about anyone camped within 50-100m. Groups enjoy our camping area - as there is 300 acres that we dedicate to camping and they can pick their own spot. by Jacinda B.

Just $ 30 bit much for just a paddock. esp for solo travellers. I can see bird and wildlife anywhere as have been doing. Be honest just came through L.R and feel it's a tourist trap. All good for a once off family holiday but if on a budget I'd skip it! Also not even peak period hate to think what prices are then? by Cheryl G.
I’m terrible sorry you missed out on the Amazing Lightning Ridge Region. The sheer number of people from all demographics, that return again and again, really demonstrates that Lightning ridge is not a tourist trap. I’m sorry you left your research of our top town to the last minute. It really is the best of what small towns can achieve when they have a genuine love. I wish you all the best with your future travels. by Jacinda B.
