What a great place close to the river hear the sea overnight lovely fat areas to Park to drop toilets and only $10 a night. What a great place.

Camp next to the cows and the water. We took the kayak out on the water, it’s enclosed so not tidal. Quiet area away from the road. We can hear the waves crashing onto the beach, it’s lovely. Two drop toilets are the only facility, recommend to be self sufficient.

We've been here for a month today! We're travelling Oz in our 19mtr rig, & Fitzroy River camp is magic. Right on the river which opens onto the open ocean just a short walk away. The property is clean, tidy & well maintained by John - an old resident from here & very good rates - $50 week. The weekends get a bit busy - with family's & their pets, but everyone is so friendly. Couldn't recommend this place enuf!!!

Yes you can, we’ve swam with our kids in the mouth of the river and also the ocean. I would only swim in the ocean if a confident ocean swimmer - can be rough and unpredictable by Tiana R.

We have just stopped past and it was pretty busy; too full for a caravan but you could find a spot for a tent. Hope you found somewhere for New Years! by Marton B.
