Campsites

Camped here over the Easter long weekend and arrived on Good Friday at around lunch time. Although it was quite busy it was still very beautiful and there were spots left to set up camp. The grass is very overgrown and I would recommend bringing a whipper snipper. We were lucky enough to borrow a neighbours which opened up our campsite a lot and allowed for a fire and better view of the flowing creek. The creek is deep enough for us to swim in, the basalt in the creek are very sharp so be careful went walking into the creek. There are flushing toilets and showers but only a very small block so if you have a portable toilet I would bring it with you. Lots of families around so be ready for noise/people having a great time. The campsites run along a road and you can hear the road trains at night but it didn’t seem to bother us. Our dogs had a great time and most people were respectful and kept their dogs on leashes. I would recommend this place after rain to make sure the creek is flowing because it is the main attraction of the campsite.
