Heard great reports of this site so decided to drop in on way home. Person on gate to take money even before you can ascertain you have a site suitable. About 2 kms of beach side camping. There are 2 toilets and one open topped shower, pizza oven and communal campfire. Lots of artisan water that they advise you do not drink so bring your own. There were about 200 people here so you need to be completely self sufficient otherwise you have up to 1 km walk to toilet and have to queue esp in morning's. The beach was very slippery, and tide out long way. Notices warn of blue ringed octopus and stone fish. I would not like my kids to be out there. Wind was strong but when we tried to fish we were told " water is too salty here mate" need a boat to get out in the gulf. We gave up and by afternoon of first full day had decided to pack up next morning and move on. This is the first time we have ever given up on a site, losing a days fee which for what you get here is very high in our opinion. $11 pppn or $8 pppn pensioner. We will not be going back again, others rave about it...,.
