Note: not actually at horseshoe lagoon proper. It's a bit further up. Quite tricky to find. Drive all the way to car park at Trawool where you can camp next to Goulburn river for free. Pitch your tent either one next to water or closer to carpark. The spots next to water are quite private thanks to tree cover. Water is cool and clean. River bed is shallow and mainly pebbles. Current was decent strength, but great swim. Couple of guys tried to fish but came up empty. Apparently the odd trout can be caught. Fire pits available for some spots, but others have to be dug. Overall beautiful, idyllic place. Shame one of the waterside spots was littered heavily with tp. C'mon guys, pick up after yourselves. Also on the drive up were plenty of farm animals. Saw someone try to pet them and get told off lol. So don't do that either. Loved my night here
