The good: The views of the Kangaroo River. The sites are about 15m above the general water level. The bush sounds are great, lots of animal activity, wombats, roos, blue-tongues, and the birding was pretty rewarding. Lots of large trees with plenty of shade at the non-powered sites. The bad: Too close to the main road, could hear cars the entire time. The powered sites are situated right next to the road and not pleasant. We moved to a non-powered site. They are mostly very shady, but also very dusty and would be a challenge during rains. The area just below site 7CF needs a clean-up, with broken bottles etc visible. That’s the only negatives we had on our visit. We really enjoyed our time here. The kids’ play area was neat, tidy and clean. The ablutions were clean as a whistle. The kitchen area was very usable, and in sight of the play area so you can watch the kids while doing the dishes or cooking something. If it had been a few 100m further from the road I would have rated it 5 stars.
