Nice park, seperate campsites, composting toilets, dedicated fire pits, most campsites look level, be careful when booking as some sites are for camper trailers and some for tents, lots of shade, the birds can and will take anything they can carry, not just food but also items like thongs, dishcloths, stubby coolers etc... so be sure to put anything away you don’t want carried off. Lots of walks with absolutely awesome scenery and spectacular views. We went during a long period of no rain so very dusty so wouldn’t recommend for toddlers. One of the best camping trips I’ve had.

Question:

Hi is it accessible by 2wd vehicle?

Answer:

I remember that it had a dirt road to the campsite. Take it easy on the tyres if you intend to go in. by Itchy F.

Question:

Is the road suitable for motorhomes??

Answer:

On the road into the National Park there are warning signs that the road isn’t suitable for large caravans due to some hairpin bends. The condition of the gravel road was heavily corrugated when I visited and uncomfortable in a 4WD. If your motor home has a short wheel base you should be okay but larger vehicles may experience issues. If in doubt, get onto the QPWS website and ask the question, a local Ranger should be able to provide advice. by Itchy F.
