Love this place. Have been about 4 times here and will definitely go again. Nice individual secluded campsites and communal fire pits. Sites are non-powered and need to bring your own water. Drop toilets aren’t too bad some are smellier than others. Good place for fishing, the lighthouse is quite interesting, the dunes walk is amazing, 145m high from the top down to the Thursday river. Hard to find the track to the top of the big dune when it’s your first time there but there are plenty of people that go there that are regulars so someone should be able to direct you. It’s about a 4 hour round trip if you take your time to enjoy it. Make sure you bring a boogie board so you can slide down to the river for your return walk. Lots of other activities to do as well like kayaking in the nearby muller inlet or wingan inlet, 4wdriving, bushwalking or just relaxing on the beach. The rangers come a couple of times a week and do activities for the kids. Lots of goannas around when it’s hot so keep your food secured and rubbish tied up in bags . Eden and Mallacoota are only about an hour and a half away if you want to go for a day trip away from camp. The place books out pretty quick during the Xmas and Easter periods as there are only 46 sites.
