We stayed here in a powered site. Adequately sized sites. There were a lot of campervans and RVs too. Amenities are quite dated but very functional, clean and there are plenty of showers and toilets to go around. The camp kitchen is very basic, has 2 stoves, 2 wash basins and a microwave. The powered sites are next to the beach so you can hear the waves when it’s quiet. You can’t see the beach though, there’s no view due to the sand bank. You have easy access to the beach and it was not crowded because it’s unpatrolled. There were a lot of birds around, crows, magpies, sparrows and cockatoos, they wake you up around 5:30am 😂 but I guess that what happens when you’re surrounded by nature. I don’t think firepits are allowed but we cooked on our small Weber BBQ and had no complaints. We didn’t use the pool or the mini golf course but it looked fun. We stayed for 3 nights and it was a pleasant stay. It would have been perfect if we didn’t have gale force winds and rain on our last night! Staff and locals were all friendly, checking in/out was quick and painless. Would recommend, especially for families.
