Plots 6,7 & 8 are for tents only and there is no vehicle access. A permit is needed and can be bought from the hut. A 5km drive up a mountain is required to reach the campground and there are Fireflies and Platypus to be seen if you take a short walk. It is important to note that there is no drinking water, no swimming and no showers at the site.

Swimming holes in the creek are crystal clear and the cool mountain air is refreshing. A 25 minute drive to Eungella provides supplies or meals. Fuel up back down the range at Finch Hatton. Day trips to Finch Hatton Gorge are remarkable. Take the ‘Diggings Road’ turn off 5 minutes out of Eungella, not the Google Map way. A memorable camping experience!

4 RatingsBeautiful spot with platypus in the creek, perfect for family camping. Caravans, camper trailers and non-drinking water available. Great walks in the rainforest with signs at each fork. Compost toilets and cafe at the information centre with great coffee and scones. Be warned, it can get chilly here!
