Toilets, BBQ Areas, National Parks, Walking Trails and allows fires are all available at the campground. The ranger was friendly and the atmosphere was quiet and peaceful. Plots 6,7 & 8 are for tents only and there is no vehicle access. A permit is needed and can be bought from the hut. A 5km drive up a mountain is required to reach the campground and there are Fireflies and Platypus to be seen if you take a short walk. It is important to note that there is no drinking water, no swimming and no showers at the site.

Beautiful spot with platypus in the creek, perfect for family camping. Caravans, camper trailers and non-drinking water available. Great walks in the rainforest with signs at each fork. Compost toilets and cafe at the information centre with great coffee and scones. Be warned, it can get chilly here!

A great spot for an overnight stay, free and quiet with clean amenities. Toilets were clean and maintenance guy offered affordable showers. Pub across the road, unfortunately closed during our stay. Flat, grassed area, not far from highway, good spot for a drink and feed. Recommended!

A hidden gem in the rainforest, Platypus Bush Camp offers something for everyone. Enjoy crystal clear creeks for swimming and spotting platypuses, beautiful walking trails, BBQ areas, and even cabins, caravans, and camper trailers for those who want to stay the night. Wazza, the owner, is a character and his passion for this paradise is clear. Reviews are conflicting, but those who take the punt are rewarded with a unique bush experience. Rocky the cockatoo is a funny addition. Great for a getaway, especially for families.
