Compost toilets and cafe at the information centre with great coffee and scones. Be warned, it can get chilly here!

Toilets, BBQ Areas, National Parks, Walking Trails and allows fires are all available at the campground. The ranger was friendly and the atmosphere was quiet and peaceful. Plots 6,7 & 8 are for tents only and there is no vehicle access. A permit is needed and can be bought from the hut. A 5km drive up a mountain is required to reach the campground and there are Fireflies and Platypus to be seen if you take a short walk. It is important to note that there is no drinking water, no swimming and no showers at the site.

Cape Palmerston is an amazing place for beach 4WD’ing and camping, with plenty of fishing and national parks to explore. It's quite a journey to get there, but worth it for the secluded campgrounds and breathtaking views. The beach fishing is great, and there are no crocs or stingers to worry about. There's a fuel station at the turn off to the National Park, and Sarina is 20 minutes away with all the supplies you need. You won't forget the beauty of a full moon over this magical place. So come and explore Windmill Bay!
