Amazing spot with stunning sunsets! Great for a boys trip with views of the sand dunes and 4WD trails. No toilets in the campgrounds so you'll need to drive 5-10 minutes down the road for those amenities. There's plenty to do and explore on Moreton Island, and the phone reception is good. Enjoy fishing, swimming, and even fires if allowed. You won't regret your visit to Cowan Point!

Spent a great weekend at this beach campsite with our two toddlers. Enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and the sound of the waves. Drop toilets were clean and there was plenty of space between campsites. Inland track from our campsite back to the main road was a bonus, allowing us to leave at high tide. Affordable weekend with the barge to Straddie costing $150 and camping $40. Highly recommend for a beach camping experience.
