A great spot for a holiday, Eildon Pondage offers plenty of amenities such as toilets, drinking water, BBQ areas and powered sites. You can also bring along caravans, camper trailers or cabins. Boating, fishing and 4WD trails are available, as well as a kids play park and walking trails. Fire pits are allowed and reception is good. Located two hours from Melbourne, it's a great spot for a getaway. Reviews are positive, with friendly people and a swimming pool and playground. The pondage is right in front of the park, though the water was a bit low.

This stunning campground is located in Upper Yarra and is just two hours from Melbourne. Accessed by a suspension bridge over a creek, it offers a peaceful and quiet stay. Wildlife such as kookaburras and kangaroos can be seen, however beware of wild dogs in the area. There are plenty of walking and 4WD trails, as well as non-drinking water access. Be sure to arrive during the day, as vehicles are not allowed - campers with trailers, vans and rooftop tents must leave their vehicle at the carpark. Enjoy the local walks and hikes, cycle on the little river track, and take in the beautiful peaks!

Eildon is a great spot to relax and take in the beautiful river view. It has spacious camping sites, a large camp kitchen with a deck, and plenty of activities for kids. The facilities are clean and well maintained, and there's a boat ramp nearby. Unpowered sites overlook the river, and it's possible to drift down the water on a floaty. It can be chilly in winter, so bring extra warm sleeping bags/blankets. The park also allows pets, and the owners are very friendly and accommodating.
