Beautiful, level grass sites by the river, Northwood Road Reserve Seymour is a great spot for a weekend away. It's only two hours from Melbourne and allows pets, caravans, camper trailers, and fires. There's free phone reception and non-drinking water, as well as plenty of fishing and swimming opportunities. Highly recommended!
