Beautiful beach with many amenities, including toilets, drinking water, caravan and camper trailer sites, nearby state forest, boat ramp, phone reception, fishing, walking trails, and swimming. Fires allowed. Not too busy after kids' summer holidays. Narrow unmade road to reach campground. $10 for two people in a tent. Highly recommended.

Located in Hobart and the South, Gilhams Beach Campground offers a great spot near the water. Grass-filled sites feature a forest outlook, while the nearby water provides plenty of fishing and rock hopping opportunities. Facilities include drop toilets and rainwater tanks (boil before consumption) as well as shade and a clean toilet. The beautiful beach has rockpools, and boats can be seen in February, but all is quiet by 9 pm. Pets allowed.
